Earlier today, Some people like MCA member Justin Foo and DAP lackey Justice Fairness disagreed that I should have made the post to condemn Hew Kuan Yew. They also think that I also should not have posted to condemn Tony Pua for making fun of the Islam Fatwa.

They believe that me as a Chinese, should not be condemning these posts by DAP Tony Pua and Hew Kuan Yew as I will be highlighting what these two did and will further fuel racial disharmony and conflicts.

In your opinion, what do you think is the best approach?

Approach A:
Me as a Chinese should not have made those post and keep quiet and pretend that Tony Pua and Hew Kuan Yew did not make those posts and hope that the Malays will not understand or find out about what Tony Pua and Hew Kuan Yew said?

The drawback for this approach is that it would backfire if the Malays eventually found out or got angry about what these DAP people did and sees that no Chinese has come out to condemn DAP and create the (false) impression that all Chinese agree with or sees nothing wrong with what DAP did.

Approach B:
That I make those posts to condemn Tony Pua and Hew Kuan Yew and highlight that not all Chinese agree with what Tony Pua and Hew did and that these are the actions of two DAP politicians that happens to be Chinese therefore focusing the anger and blame on the individuals concerned and not the Chinese on a whole.

The drawback for this approach is that I would highlight issues that Malay would not be aware of or may not find out.

What do you think? Interested to hear your views, especially from fellow Chinese.

  1. It's clear that the two postings bear ill intention - not only towards the person specifically targetted but the Malay community as a whole because the person is iconic to the Malays as she is the wife to the PM - himself a Malay. And, any ill intent that could spur a riot among the races of a multi-ethnic nation like Malaysia should not be kept in the closet. Because, such ill feelings if detected early could be defused peacefully... rather than allowing it to accumulate and become potentially explosive - the like of 13th May. Your approach B is indeed very sensible.
